Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to visit this website and find out
more about GIRLS NEED GUITARS.
GIRLS NEED GUITARS began as a one -time event to help provide
guitars and rhythm instruments for Sea Mar Visions, a
residential substance abuse treatment program for teenage
girls in Bellingham, WA.
The Bellingham community embraced the idea and not only did
we have a sold-out show at the Mount Baker Studio Theater but
through generous individual donations and sponsorship we
were able to provide the Sea Mar Visions girls with 17 Guitars, 7
Drums, a Banjo, and a Piano.
Now, we would like to provide Guitars, Rhythm Instruments, and
Music Lessons for all the at-risk teenage girls in Whatcom
County that want to participate.
If you are a music teacher or musician that would like to
participate or if you have a instrument that you would like to
donate please email me from the Contact page of this website.
If you are a teenage girl living in Whatcom county and would like
to enroll in this program please email me through the Contact
page of this website.
